Kōans for group projects

The list of proposed topics (Kōans) for the group projects will be published on 30 October. If you were wondering: “A Kōan (公案) … is a story, dialogue, question, or statement, which is used in Zen-practice to provoke the "great doubt", and test a student's progress in Zen practice” (Wikipedia).

Problems with registration

This morning (October 19) we had an issue that prevented confirmation emails from being sent when creating new accounts. This is now fixed, and you should be able to register as normal.

Student registration

To simplify the organization and make the lecture series more attractive to students, there will be no mandatory exercises, but optional group projects that yield a "certificate of achievement" at the end of the course. While anyone can register as a member of the ShanghAI community, students who want (or need) to participate in the group projects should register with the option "I'm a student and want to participate in the exercises", from 26 September up until the first regular class on 17 October.

We apologize for the SPAM

It seems someone registered a fake profile and sent SPAM messages to random people as "love baby". Please ignore that message. We apologize for the inconvenience (but we're honored that someone thinks the ShanghAI Lectures community is important enough to receive SPAM…) :-)
