Hello, I hope this is the right place to post this... I am interested in the possibility of watching the lectures offline. I see there is this SWITCHcast system, that asks me to log in. Unfortunately I cannot see my University in the list (Scuola Superiore S. Anna, Pisa, Italy), although I think it is participing in some form. Is there any possibility for me to access the lectures offline, if I miss the live streaming? Thank you

Hi Francesco, sorry for the late reply, things have been busy here lately! Yes, for each lecture there is a live video stream from UC3M and a link to the recorded lecture on the SWITCH server. We were a bit late in uploading the first lecture, but in general the recordings should be available within a day after each session. Checkout the link to the first lecture recordings in the Lectures page.

Hi

I'm having a problem accessing execise 4 submission page (Assignment Submission --> Create a new submission). When I try to access, this problem appears:

Access denied
You are not authorized to access this page.

How can I solve this?

Thank you

Hi, Nathan!

I've got a new assignment by email, but when I try to open a link I get "Access denied" message...

Thank you.

Ivan

Hi Ivan
the message was sent in error. Exercise 5 is still not available, but should be published on Monday (I hope). It will be a "small" exercise, so about one week should be more than enough to solve it.
Best,

Nathan

Although I am logged in to the website and can access my group page (161), I cannot open the submission page (access denied). Any suggestions?

Hi Nina

I had a look at your account and everything seems fine. Can you tell me where exactly you have the problem?

When I clicked on the Create Submission button on the group page yesterday, I ended up with "access denied" messages several times and not on the data uploading form. I also tried to log out and log in again - nothing changed. Today, after another group member had uploaded the files, I could access the page again and see the submission.

I'm having the same problem that Nina had, when I click on create submission it says access denied. Would you be able to allow me access again? I'm in group 183.
Thanks

Hi martin

where are you trying to do this exactly? I tried to upload a 10 MB AVI file and it worked without any problems.

It would be useful if one could edit posts to the study group board. For example if one wanted to publish a document put forgot to attach it. Now I have to add a second comment which cluters the study group board. There is the possibility of deleting the old post but an edit function would greatly simplify this.

Another major bug I just encountered: After subscribing to this group, I can no longer access my study group - it does not even show up in the lectures menu anymore, nor can I access the "my study group " page directly (access denied).

Hi Frank, this problem is fixed now. Can you tell us your old study group number so that we can reassign you to your group?

unfortunately I can not tell you the group number. It was the same group "yongda huang" and "simon ruesch" were in though.

additionally I am now a member of group 165, resulting in me getting points for a solution to exercise 3, that I had no part in solving. My own solutions (from my correct group) to the 3rd exercise do not show anywhere.

According to the programmers, it is more a "group" problem than a technical one. The last submission uploaded by one of the group members is the one that "counts" -- so if you uploaded your part of the submissions, and then another group member uploaded another solution, yours is overwritten. You should get points for the solution of your old group (for exercise 2), and for exercise 3 you'll get points as a member of group 165.

I think I did explain the problem a bit backwards - so here is another try to visualize the problem better:

When exercise 3 (ex3) was distributed, I was a member of group X. In group X we made plans on how to solve this, and I did part of ex3. Then I uploaded my solutions to the group forum/thread, so that my team mates could include my findings in the final solution. (I did not use the "turn in your submission" function, I posted my findings in our group conversation and attached my findings.)

Then I got removed from group X, because I joined this interest group to report a bug. At the same time I posted a corresponding bug report.

Now I find myself "magically" a member of another group y (y=165), in which I was not involved before in any way. Additionally I don't get credit for the work I did in my original group X, but for the work of group Y. Thus I believe the error is more of a organizational nature.

I ran accross a small HTML bug on the main page, with the changing picture (div = home slider slide). If you want to access the lectures tab from this side, i cannot read all the points in the menu due to the z-index of the pictures. running win7, 1366x768 px, browser: pretty current chrome

As some have already mentioned, there seems to be a problem with the uploaded files. I cannot download any of it from my group page (group 167). However the most recent video worked, but the former ones and a word document, which were posted before, don't work. It always tells me 'Access denied'. I've already tried logging out and in again, but it doesn't help.

Dear Norbert
All access denied problems should be resolved now. Please try again.
Sorry for the problems and thanks a lot for reporting!
